Terms and Conditions

All individual or group tour by Sanki Leisure are guaranteed to operate. Guaranteed tours will operate except only in cases of force majeure, which could include any major event adversely affecting tour patterns or other circumstances beyond Sanki Leisure’s control.This service will be provided within the vehicle all throughout the tour and will not be available for the traveler to use away from the vehicle.

In an event where the requested room type of hotel has no availability, accommodation will be provided in another room with similar capacity. In the unlikely event of a confirmed hotel booking being unavailable, we shall use our best efforts to supply similar class of accommodation within the same geographical area.

Hotels in general allow check-in to take place during the midafternoon. Rooms will be available from 12:00hrs to 14hrs. Should you wish to have a guaranteed room ready for your immediate check-in upon arrival, it may be arranged for an additional charge. Please ask Sanki Leisure for details and prices.

For late checkouts after 12:00hrs but before 18:00hrs, the guest will be liable to pay additional 50% of the relevant Room rate. Where in an event the guest checks out late after 18:00hrs, a 100% fee of the relevant room rate must be settled to Sanki Leisure.

For all tours suite upgrade package with preferred pricing based on availability. Upgrades available on request at individual hotels. Specific requests such as adjacent or connecting rooms, bedding requests, smoking rooms and special dietary needs should be advised at time of booking. Kindly note that Sanki Leisure will make every effort to secure a special request but due to uncontrollable reasons it cannot be guaranteed.

Child policy for hotels may vary upon conformed hotel policy and Sanki Leisure may need passport copies at the time of booking in order to verify child’s age. You may contact your tour operator for more details.

We at Sanki Leisure provides the price for all tours with an agreement with the group leader. In an unlikely event Sanki Leisure reserves the right to modify or cancel the prices for future bookings without prior notice.

Due to unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond Sanki Leisure’s control, we reserves the right to modify program itineraries, including arranged sightseeing, and substitute accommodations, including vessels, domestic aircraft and train transfers, at any time. Every effort will be made by Sanki Leisure to operate itineraries as planned, but alterations may occur after the final itinerary has been issued.

All internal air transportation is 100% non-refundable at time of final payment. Until a passport copy is received by Sanki Leisure, air reservations cannot be confirmed. All internal air quotes are subject to change until final payment has been received by Sanki Leisure. Flight confirmation is based on availability.

All air carriers are independent contractors and are not owned, managed, controlled or operated by Sanki Leisure. Your airline ticket constitutes a contract between yourself and the airlines, even if purchased through Sanki Leisure. Sanki Leisure is not liable for, and does not assume responsibility or accept claims with regard to, seat assignments, name changes, schedule changes, flight changes and/or cancellations. Should you change or cancel your air transportation arrangements before or after your travel begins, all airline change and cancellation fees will apply.

Please note should your journey include domestic flights, your luggage allowance may vary and additional costs may apply. Your requirements for baggage will be provided by our tour operator before the time of booking. Baggage and personal effects are at the owner’s risk throughout the travel program, and Sanki Leisure assumes no liability for lost or damaged baggage during air travel.

Quoted program prices are per person, double occupancy and triple occupancy except where indicated. Although not expected, published prices may be modified due to unexpected significant external factors not forecasted at the time of update. Sanki Leisure is under no obligation to give a breakdown in costs of any journey. Pre- and Post- Tour Extensions are only available to guests booked on related group journeys.

There is no minimum age for a child unless noted on the itinerary and all children under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Some activities contained within an itinerary may have a different age restriction than the overall minimum age requirement. Details will be provided at the time of booking.

WiFi in car is a free but limited service offered on selected Sanki Leisure tour packages. This service will contain a limited capacity of free data offered to the relevant package which Sanki Leisure provides based on the number of personal traveling and the duration of the tour. In an event where the provided data bundle exhausts, the traveller may top up the service by activating a purchased data package available on the same WiFi connection. Please contact your Sanki Leisure tour operator for more information. Sanki Leisure will not be responsible for the speed and the reception of this facility and will solely depend on the network coverage for each area.

This service will be provided within the vehicle all throughout the tour and will not be available for the traveler to use away from the vehicle.

A free Mineral Water Bottle of 500ml will be offered to each passenger who travels on Sanki Leisure tour packages on a per day basis. This will not be applicable for Transfers, City tours and individual Activities

There are some activities incorporated into select itineraries. To enjoy the trips as intended, a minimum level of fitness is required. Sanki Leisure will require prior notice if any participant has any physical or other condition or disability that would prevent them from participating in activities as such of any trip and/or could create a hazard to him or herself or to other members of the group. The guest represents that neither he nor she nor anyone travelling with him or her has any physical or other condition or disability that could create a hazard to himself or herself or other members of the tour. Sanki Leisure will not be responsible for any incidence who will participate with unsatisfied fitness level. Sanki Leisure reserves the right to remove from the trip, at the participant’s own expense, anyone whose physical condition or conduct negatively impacts the enjoyment of the other guests or disrupts the tour.

Every guest are required to obey the law imposed by the Democratic Republic of Sri Lanka and Sanki Leisure will not be responsible for any incident created by the guest which will disrupt harmony in country or otherwise.

Travel insurance is not included in any tour package Sanki Leisure offers. It is the guest’s responsibility to verify whether his/her local health insurance carrier provides coverage while traveling. Please contact your insurance carrier for further details.
Sanki Leisure strongly advises that you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy to cover all aspects of your tour including the loss of deposits through cancellation, loss of baggage and personal items, personal injury and death. A waiver must be signed if insurance is declined.

It is the guest’s sole responsibility to obtain and have available when necessary the appropriate valid travel documents. All guests are advised to check with the appropriate government authority to determine the necessary documents. A valid passport is required for all guests. Passports must be valid for six (6) months after the return of your journey and should also have sufficient blank visa pages for entry and exit stamps. You may be refused boarding or disembarked from a domestic airline or vessel without liability for refund, payment, compensation, or credit of any kind if you failed to provide proper documentation, and you will be subject to any fine or other costs incurred by Sanki Leisure which result from improper documentation or noncompliance with applicable regulations.

Deposit per Person Required at Time of Booking

A nonrefundable deposit of 10% of the tour price per person plus bank charges (credit card/bank transfer processing fees, online processing fees) is required upon confirmation of the booking which may vary depending on guest’s required tour. Once a deposit is received it is understood that guest have read, understood and accepted all our terms and conditions provided by Sanki Leisure on the final Tour documentation received by the guest.

The remainder must be settled upon arrival to Sri Lanka before the tour commence. Also it is payable via a bank transfer or online payment (Transaction fees or Bank charges may apply) before the intended arrival to Sri Lanka. (If Bank transfer it is mandatory to provide the draft).

The payment upon arrival can be made by Cash: Currencies accepted are Euro, Dollar American, Dollar Canadian, Sterling Pound, Japanese Yen, and Sri Lankan Rupees). Cash is preferred to reduce any processing fees that may affect your cost. If the payment currency differs to above mention, please contact Sanki Leisure for further information.

All quoted prices are inclusive of current applicable taxes imposed by the Department of Inland Revenue – Sri Lanka and subjected to change without prior notice.

Cancellations must be received in writing and will become effective on the date of receipt, fax or email.
Cancellations received by Sanki Leisure are subject to the following charges:

> More than 84 days before arrival: no cancellation charge (refundable deposit of 10% will be forfeited)
> 57-84 days before arrival: 30%
> 37-56 days before arrival: 50%
> 22-36 days before arrival: 70%
> 07-21 days before arrival: 90%
> Less than 7 days before arrival: 100 %

*In some cases the deposit may be a higher amount to secure your arrangements, this will be non-refundable and the charges will be added to the cancellation charges above.

Sanki Leisure’s cancellation charges are a percentage of the total holiday cost which does not include any insurance premium which is non-refundable. These charges are based on the number of days before the Guest’s departure date and the date Sanki Leisure receive the cancellation notice. Please note that this date will not be the correspondence date at the booking or inquiry. Any amendments to the tour charges are non-refundable. For insurance premiums please refer to your insurance provider’s cancellation policy.

If any cancellation made by a traveler in a group, in addition to incurring the applicable cancellation charges, Sanki Leisure will recalculate the holiday cost for the remaining travelers. All guests who have conformed hotel accommodation will liable for the extra room charges such as single room supplements.

In cases where cancellation charges made by Sanki Leisure’s suppliers are higher than the cost of the deposit, it may pass the charge on to the Traveler. Kindly contact Sanki Leisure for further details on charges applicable.

Refunds are not made for any missed services. For verifiable claims to be considered, they must be received in writing within 15 days of the termination of the program and be accompanied by supporting documentation. Any adjustment considered will be based on the actual price of the services involved and not on a per day basis. Adjustments will not be made for unused sightseeing trips or meals. Sanki Leisure will not accept any liability for any claims that are not received within 15 days of the termination of your travel program.

Sanki Leisure reserves the right to take photographs and video during the operation of any program or part thereof and to use them for promotional purposes during the program and thereafter. By booking a program with Sanki Leisure, guests agree to allow their images to be used in such photographs and video. Guests who prefer that their images not be used are asked to identify themselves to their respective tour operator at the beginning of their program.

Sanki Leisure, its employees, shareholders, officers, directors, successors, agents and assigns, does not own or operate any property or entity which is to or does provide goods or services for your trip. It purchases transportation (by car, coach, train, aircraft, vessel or otherwise), hotel and other lodging accommodations, restaurant, ground handling and other services from various independent suppliers (including from time to time other affiliated Sanki Leisure companies). All such persons and entities are independent contractors. As a result, Sanki Leisure is not liable for any negligent or willful act of any such person or entity or of any third person. In addition and without limitation, Sanki Leisure is not responsible for any injury, financial or physical loss, death, inconvenience, delay or damage to personal property in connection with the provision of any goods or services whether resulting from but not limited to acts of God or force majeure, illness, disease, acts of war, civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, animals, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of services, food poisoning, mechanical or other failure of aircraft or other means of transportation or for failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart on time.

There are many inherent risks in adventure travel of the type involved here, which can lead to illness, injury, or even death. These risks are increased by the fact that these trips take place in remote locations, far from medical facilities. Guest assumes all such risks associated with participating in these trips.

If you decide to participate in any activities including, but not limited to, any excursions involving animals, riding on animals, scuba diving, snorkeling, hot air ballooning, ziplining, high altitude treks, climbing, whitewater rafting, primate tracking and any activity which Sanki Leisure considers to carry inherent risk of serious illness, injury or death (“Activities”) then you fully understand and acknowledge that Activities carry with them various inherent risks, including serious illness, injury or death and you take complete responsibility for your own health and safety and agree to assume all risks of injury, illness or death, whether foreseen or unforeseen, that may befall you as a result of participating in any Activities and agree to release Sanki Leisure and its affiliates, their agents, employees and representatives from any liability whatsoever related thereto.

Further, as consideration for being permitted to participate in the Activities; you release Sanki Leisure, whether known or unknown, from, and agree not to sue or make claim against Sanki Leisure for, property damage, cancellation of any Activities for any reason, illness, negligent rescue operations or procedures, personal injury, or death arising out of your participation in the Activities, and any activity related thereto, including transportation to and from the site of the Activities, regardless of whether such property damage, illness, personal injury, or death results from the negligence of Sanki Leisure (but not its reckless, willful, or fraudulent conduct), and/or from any defect in equipment. You further agree to indemnify and hold Sanki Leisure harmless with respect to any claim made against Sanki Leisure by anyone else which (a) related to your participation, or (b) which would be subject to the above release and covenant not to sue if you had made the claim directly yourself.

Additional expenses incurred due to delay, accident, natural disaster, political actions and unrest shall be borne by the tourists. Tourists are required to have full travel insurance.

ANY PAYMENT TO SANKI LEISURE CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET OUT HEREIN AND IN MORE SPECIFIC PRETRAVEL DOCUMENTATION, INCLUDING THE GUEST INFORMATION FORM.

Sanki Leisure reserves the right to correct any errors or omissions in its published materials and to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time as the result of any material changes to legislation or regulation. All amended Terms and Conditions shall automatically be effective upon being posted by Sanki Leisure to the website Sanki Leisure.com. Accordingly, guests should check the website www.sankileisure.com prior to travel in order to ensure they are aware of any changes.
